Land + conversion inspiration

What could you create on the right site?

Finding the right land can be the first step. Marshwood Eco Pod shows how Roamify can then work with a landowner to unlock its potential.

For this project, Roamify partnered with the landowner, built the conversion and retains ownership of the unit. The result is a one-bedroom woodland retreat in Bedfordshire that now welcomes paying guests through Airbnb.

This is an important proof point for landowners: the opportunity is not limited to simply buying a container. Roamify can explore partnership structures that bring together land, unit, design and commercial use.

A genuine Roamify project delivered in partnership with the landowner. Roamify built and owns the converted shipping-container unit, which is positioned within secluded woodland and now operates as bookable short-stay accommodation.

Marshwood demonstrates how the right land and the right unit can be brought together to create a distinctive hospitality asset — and gives prospective land partners a tangible example of what Roamify can deliver. This Bedfordshire site is not offered for sale.

Guests are already booking it.

Marshwood is not a CGI, prototype or theoretical use case. It is a completed Roamify-owned unit operating on a partner landowner's site, with real guests and real reviews.

Lovely little spot for a few nights, well appointed container and excellent communication from the host. The lock and gates sometimes took some time, may benefit from some automatic gates in future. However all together it was a very clean and comfy place to stay. It was good value and I would recommend this to others for a short stay.

We absolutely loved staying at Raquel's Hideaway this weekend! The property is stunning, set in such a peaceful and quiet location. The interior is modern, beautifully decorated and very homely, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We actually really enjoyed that there was no TV, as it made the stay feel like a proper break away from normal life and gave us the chance to switch off and enjoy our surroundings. The only small thing to note is that there isn't an oven, but we used the air fryer to cook pizza and it worked perfectly fine for us! Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Raquel's Hideaway. 10/10! We'd love to come back.

We had a lovely stay. The accommodation is in a peaceful location surrounded by wildlife and was perfect for our overnight stay while attending an event nearby. It was spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious and well equipped, with thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers and shortbread. We'd happily recommend it.
